Side Comments - No Pain Magnification? That's essentially what Hellspark is for D=

Keep in mind that you need ALL you blue sources in the deck for Cruel Ultimatum... if you accidentally burning a tri mana, you have 2 useless cards

I'm also concerned about Cry of Contrition... Duress/Thoughtseize is better... 2 more damage for them is worth being able to pick out a bomb

Also, you might need more blue sources for Wistful. With 3 Megrims it's an instant win.

It's a STRONG bomb... 16 damage with just 2 for 3?

Also, Unsummon is strong in this deck

I like the suggestions, but i let me explain a little bit.

With the cry of contrition i can make you discard a card, and then most likely il haunt a card im about to kill.

And with the hideaway land i can hope for a shot at getting a cruel ultimatum for a suprise!

Il take your suggestions to heart though.

I am concerned by Cruel Ultimatum as well. I don't think splashing like two cards worth of blue is really practical. If you're going to get into blue, put some more cards in there, or (probably a better plan) ditch blue all together and get some more red/black.

I would also suggest AMB's Isochron Scepter combo; in this deck it would be savage and deadly.

Yeah, definately, but also he can get away with splashing blues if he stuck in 1 or 2 panoramas as well. I know he has a lot of turn 2-5 drops, so any more panos would be tricky, but 1 to fetch that desperately need swamp or mountain wouldn't be too bad.

Bah, if you're going to splash do it with firm reason. I think this deck could get off perfectly well without the blue. He could even put TWO Isochron Scepters in.

Well blue is really for those tough situations

Like he can't kill darksteel colossus, but if he unsummons it and makes them discard it, they lose it and take two...
Also I think Isochron might be slow...
It needs to be tested by decks other than ones from our pool...

Well he may not need to kill Darksteel if he pwns me with direct damage from Megrim. This deck is all about getting behind creatures to deal damage, imo.

But what if they neutralize megrims? Even the best disruption will eventually crumble when not supported by a backup plan. He can blue it up for more cards with wistful if he's in a pickle, stall with unsummon and consider wall of frost

I guess, but the most practical thing right now is that blue is looking really strong. I dont think you guys saw the combo of the hideaway lands and how powerful they can be. If i happen to get cruel ultimatum with the hideaway land then i can stow that until ive taken you for 7 damage with blightning and then jsut seal the deal.

But you can just as easily run your hideaways and your cruels into the graveyard...or your blue sources. Burning inquiry doesn't help on that...

easily can, but its a risk im willing to take by the time i have burning inquiry doing damage im probably not going to need those cards anyways. We'll see what happens after a few games.

I do i gotta hope for a diabolic tutor or the two sign in bloods i have in sideboard. Your right though your catching a lot of the things i have to watch out for. Now the only thing i have to do is get the following cards...

Suyash = wistful thinking x2
